Vermont Annual Snapshot Data
Vermont Annual Snapshot
The Annual Snapshot is an online tool where you can find quantitative data about Vermont schools. You can see how your school, Supervisory Union/District or the state is doing, based on measures Vermont has decided are important. The Annual Snapshot exists to support schools, not rank them. The goal of the Annual Snapshot is to encourage communities to work together to improve educational outcomes for all students.
OESU can be found by searching Orange East SU.
Vermont State Assessment: Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium
Schools within Orange East Supervisory Union participate in Vermont’s statewide assessment. Summative assessments in English Language Arts, Math, Science and Physical Education are taken every spring. Individual student results are sent home to families. More information about these assessment can be found on the

*Meaningful Consultation: OESU must invite public comment and input into the decision making process for utilizing ARP ESSER (ESSER 3) funds. The US Department of Education requires LEAs to complete Meaningful Consultation and provide evidence public input was incorporated into the plan and the plan must be approved at the state level and then shared with the public.
Orange East conducted meaningful consultation from June 8, 2021 through July 20, 2021. The results have been summarized and can be accessed through this link:
Meaningful Consultation Survey Results
Orange East conducted a review of student performance data for academics, social/emotional learning and behavior, as well as student engagement date including attendance and truancy. We also looked at data relevant to school climate and culture. The Needs Assessment shows the name of the data set we reviewed, our interpretations and our ideas for improvement. We then used those ideas to draft a plan.
Based on our Needs Assessment, our plan and current needs, we have drafted a plan for intended use of ARP ESSER funds.
